Shareware Vendors
On this disk are seven award-winning shareware products by MVP Software. I
would be pleased for you to add them to your catalog. In this file there are
separate descriptions for each product.
There are one-line, short, and extended catalog descriptions for each MVP
product. Please use one of these descriptions in your catalog. The words "by
MVP Software" or "an MVP Software production" MUST be included in each product
description in your catalog. This promotes repeat sales of our products,
which is good for both of us. The only exception to this is if you have a
separate MVP section designated in your catalog.
In an effort to ascertain vendor needs, I have also enclosed a very brief
survey that I would like you to fill out and return. This is very important;
any vendor from whom I do not receive a completed survey will not receive
future mailings of MVP updates and new releases. With over 1,450 vendors
listed in my database, I must insure that I'm mailing only to those who are
actively distributing our products. This includes ASP vendors, since we do
not participate in ASP mailings, preferring to do our own. So please, if you
want to receive our forthcoming releases, FILL OUT and RETURN the survey
TODAY.
The survey is at the end of this file; simply fill it out, print it out, and
mail it to: MVP Software, Vendor Survey, 1035 Dallas SE, Grand Rapids, MI
49507-1407. If you have already returned our survey, thank you.
MVP Software now has twelve development teams. We develop games and
entertainment-related products only, and I believe you'll find that in 1993
MVP will enhance our reputation as one of the finest shareware game developers
in the country. Our products now feature the work of professional artists and
musicians, a bullet-proof installation procedure designed to cut down on your
support calls from novice customers, and a smooth-as-runnning-water user
interface. Add the fact that our games have always been fun to play, and you
have a winning combination.
Besides the new releases included in this mailing, in 1993 we will release
shareware's first 3D adventure game, featuring crisp VGA graphics and
video-capture animation. In addition, we are putting the finishing touches on
Gamebuilder, a system for creating professional-quality adventure games
without writing a single line of code. Gamebuilder features a built-in paint
program, support of 8 graphics modes, flicker-free animation, a Sierra-like
point 'n click interface, mouse support and many additional advanced features.
Another sure-fire hit will be our Bridge game, which sports a Windows-like
interface, and besides playing a dynamite game of Bridge, actually has an
interactive tutorial mode that teaches the complete novice how to play the
game, or hones the skills of advanced players.
If you sell shareware, you'll want to remain on our mailing list. So RETURN
THAT SURVEY TODAY. This is the only notice you'll receive.
Rack vendors and CD-ROM compilers, we welcome your distribution of MVP
products, but we require that you contact us for written distribution
authorization first. In virtually all cases we will require a small royalty.
In no case should ANY MVP shareware products be sold in a retail setting or on
a CD-ROM without written permission to do so.
I look forward to your continued success distributing MVP shareware products.
Sincerely,
David C. Snyder, President
